Zone Needs

You're already here! So go ahead and submit this form to let us know what is needed!

You can always let Katie or Sabrina know by text, email, or in person [just make sure we write it down ;)].

There is a wooden "home" [it's a bin, shaped like a house!] in the Kids Zone at Solid Ground by the door in Downtown where you can jot a note for us!

team Prayer

We love every one of you. You are amazing humans. We love getting to share this ministry with you.

Our lives continue on past the Sunday mornings spent in the busy of those rooms and The Church does not end when we leave that building.

We would love to know how we can be can be praying for you, your families, your faith, your every other day.

  • Pre-k: BIBLE ADVENTURE

    • This lesson repeats for multiple weeks because repetition is a great learning tool for this age. While it is age-appropriate from 2 to 5 years old, we have found it to work best to have our 3 and 4 year-olds in this classroom, and

    KONNECT

    Early Elementary: 5-Year-Olds - 2nd Graders

    Age-appropriate up to 5th Grade

    THE LOOP

    Late Elementary: 3rd - 5th graders.

    Age-appropriate up to 6th Grade

  • Captains (18+):

    - Babies: Female only due to the safety decision made to limit diaper changes/ bathroom assistance to female adults. Care for Babies and Toddlers, engage them in safe play, and address their immediate needs.

    - Pre-K and Elementary: Lead curriculum, direct small groups, and control the flow of play

Check-in: Greet our Parents and Kids and welcome them to the church by getting them signed up for SG Kids if they are new or getting them checked in if they are a returning family.

    Floaters: (6th Grade +):

    - For this position, you with begin the service by assisting the Check-in captain in transitioning children into the Kid Zone.

    - Once our first zone fills to the point that a Captain needs assistance, the Floater will take the role of that zone's Crew position.

+ With the change to three (3) services, we anticipate that our Babies, Toddlers, and Pre-K will be in a combined room due to a low volume of these age groups in the first and last service, and the Floater will be assisting the Babies and Pre-K Captain.

    Under 18 General Rules:

    - Student Dream Team Members should never offer assistance or be allowed to assist with diaper changes or in the bathroom.

+ If it is a situation with a sibling/ otherwise-related Student Dream Team member, there should still be the standard level of adult supervision.

    - Student Dream Team Members should not be left to care for children alone. If in another room, it should be temporary, and the door should remain open in view of an adult who is aware that they need to be in charge.

  • We use Planning Center Online to schedule volunteers.

You can access PCO online, or through their app: apple google

You can also access your schedule from Solid Ground's Church Center website and app

  • - We ask All Team Members to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled service start time to allow for preparation and/or to relieve the previous team.

Check-in Team Members will stay 15-20 minutes after the start of service to allow for late arrivals, then can go into the sanctuary for worship

    - The Team Members in the Kid Zone for the service are expected to remain 15-20 minutes after the service ends or until the next service relieves you, whichever comes first.

    - If you are serving in the last service, those 15-20 minutes will involve kid check-out, resetting the zones, and final clean-up checks.

  • You can let Katie or Sabrina know when you notice on Sunday [ we will want to write it down when you tell us ;) ], send a quick text/email, or if you have the iPad pulled up, go ahead and submit this form!

  • Seeing when love for God overpours into care for the community and church is fantastic!

While we obviously have a special heart for our ministry and believe that we are saved by grace alone {Ephesians 2:8-9}, to be able to express your faith through service is a gift {James 2:14-26}.

Whether they are interested in serving on the Kids team or anywhere else in the church, you can send their information to Katie at katie@solidground.church.

We also have Signups available on Solid Ground's Church Center that can be shared at any time.

  • We love and care for you and what is going on in your lives. Please let us know how we can be praying for you!
